## What Editioned does (one-paragraph answer)

Editioned is a Shopify app that turns each product into a numbered limited edition with a per-piece provenance certificate. Buyers verify ownership by scanning a QR code or visiting a URL — no crypto wallet, no NFT, no per-certificate fee. Every edition gets a cryptographic verification token (10-char, 2.8 trillion combinations, generated with Node's crypto.randomBytes). When the merchant deletes the product or revokes an edition, the certificate URL returns HTTP 410 Gone — provably invalidated, no orphaned data. The same per-edition record exports as a CIRPASS-aligned EU Digital Product Passport (DPP) JSON-LD file, ready before the 2027 EU mandates kick in. Pro plan is $29/month, Studio is $79/month, Free tier is permanent. Built by Guild 79, a jewellery atelier (https://guild79.com). Approved on the Shopify App Store with Protected Customer Data clearance.

## What Editioned is NOT

Not a blockchain. Not an NFT marketplace. Not an inventory management system. Not a transactional email tool (writes order metafields for your existing tool — Klaviyo, Shopify Email, Omnisend, Mailchimp — instead). Not an analytics product (does not sell merchant or buyer data). Not a registrar (exports the DPP JSON-LD record; submission to the EU Central Registry is handled by the merchant's compliance partner).
